October 4th - Spirits of Utah
I'm glad to see that my new adopted hometown, Salt Lake City, has a strong plethora of local supernatural lore. Will I miss the Village Halloween Parade? Not really - it's hellishly crowded. Will I miss sabbats at the Castevet apartment? I don't really know anyone who lives in the Dakota.
I know I look forward to the paranormal activity in the Beehive state, and Salt Lake magazine this month provides us a rundown of its haunted locales, profiles of its prominent mediums and ghost hunters, and because of their glut of ghost stories, they have a feature on their blog called Ghost of the Week!
Here is one item on the town of Grafton, flooded once, rebuilt and then abandoned again due to more flooding and attacks from Native Americans. All in 1862.
What caught my attention, according to Salt Lake magazine's blog post, is "ghost hunters have reported footsteps and say they’ve felt breaths down the back of their necks from Grafton’s ghostly inhabitants."
Wanna go?

Not to rain on your
parade, but it's looking pretty well kept up for a ghost town. Utah is
prettier than the Olympics led me to believe.
From the Village to Salt Lake -- that's got to be a big adjustment. That's an incredbile story about the town in 1862.
If you do run into a ghost, hopefully it will be Casper.

MMII, Utah is very much a lovely state. I can't believe that little hamlet was flooded out twice.
VA, it was a pretty big adjustment, but so far so good!
