Beyond The Door!
The local Channel 9 (a channel that has warped my aesthetic tastes for sure) would repeatedly broadcast this one late at night back in the ninteen hundred and eighties. And each and every time, because I was traumatized by The Exorcist, I just couldn't bear to watch it.Indeed, if I'm not mistaken Warner Brothers unsuccesfully sued and lost, thereby leading to an infestation of ripoffs like some nefarious ouija board allows evil spirits to come through.
I have no doubt the Beyond the Door is a ridiculous hoot. I still haven't seen it in its entirety. I do think the Italian, gialloesque production gives it a sick dread and ugliness.
But just watch this clip. It can't be anything other than funny.

Her voice change at 1:09 had me weeping, even on the third replay. I
wonder if they ever thought about following this flick with "Beyond the
Green Door," starring Linda Blair and Marilyn Chambers.
Great minds, VA, great minds! Beyond the Green Door is the mashup the world is waiting for! RIP Marilyn Chambers....
What I can't believe is
that Juliet Mills (of Nanny and the Professor fame) starred in such a
trashy film. She must have been hurting. It was an Exorcist rip-off but
with slightly better effects. R

Mills could get through her financial difficulties by having fun in a
