I Saw-ed It, But Did I Like It?
This one was tough, but I settled on Saw
. Really, Saw as a franchise, not necessarily the first one. I
suppose Saw's mini-morality plays are interesting. I suppose a close
analysis would yield interesting comments about ethics and the human
condition. But all these come with doses upon doses of revolting
torture porn carnage designed for brain-dead idiots who can't register a
horror movie experience without visible intestines, dread, style and
mystery be damned. Too harsh? You caught me in a bad mood.
